Vertigo is 6o years old. Do you have much experience watching films that are more than a decade or so old? Do you have any favorite older films? Did Vertigo feel "old" to you? Why or why not? If yes, what felt most dated to you? Or, alternatively, what about the film feels contemporary to you?
Suarez points out that Jim Jarmusch, and specifically Stranger than Paradise, is important in the history and development of "independent film" in the U.S.
